Responsible Cafes in the Ryde District
We love our coffee. And so does the Responsible Cafe movement.
Together we can reduce or eliminate takeaway cups… save the planet and our wallet.
Here are the amazing 100 cafes in the Ryde that will give you a discount when you BYO coffee cup.
Say “no thanks” to takeaway coffee cups…
So keep your cup somewhere obvious. Grab it when you’re heading out, even if you’re not sure you’ll need it.
Pack your reusable cup during your morning ritual so you can grab a guilt-free coffee once the madness of school drop-offs is done.
Does the local cafe near school offer a discount?
If not, you know what to do. Talk to them. Talk to us!
If you’re school will be hosting an event with a coffee-cart, or wants an innovative fundraiseing opportunity, why not sell reusable cups?
Wholesale prices? Yeah ok, we can do that.
How many do you do? Honestly, we want to know.
Well, regardless, here’s where you can really make a difference. Let’s face it work without coffee is like one of those annoying biros that keeps running out of ink. So let’s not be that person. Stick a cup in your desk drawer, glove box or bag. Give it a rinse after you use it and stick it back. Can’t be stuffed washing up at work? We’ve seen the kitchens of you people, but that’s ok, get 2 cups and alternate.
While you’re there, suss out the local cafes. Who offers a discount for reusable cups, and how much they are willing to skim off your cino (price not froth).
And if they don’t… ask them to jump onboard (or tell us and we’ll do your dirty work).
Tell your colleagues especially those finance guys who really like a discount.
Too much to ask? Well maybe go old school. Allow yourself the 15 mins to step away, sit, breathe and sip your coffee at an actual cafe.
You can choose to only support the cafes who are being more sustainable.
If your favourite cafe hasn’t joined, ask them.
